Fran Gordon is a Scottish artist, based in Glasgow. Her work uses print, collage, and sculpture to explore tensions between technology and materiality. Printmaking functions as both medium and framework, looking at processes of appropriation, reproduction, layering, and the multiple. Through these methods, the work considers how images and objects are transformed as they are repeated and reconfigured. Fran graduated from Glasgow School of Art and Royal College of Art, was shortlisted for Bloomberg New Contemporaries and has completed residencies at Scottish Sculpture Workshop and Hospitalfield.
